So I have decided to enter the world of digital scrapbooking? There are several good programs for designing digital scrapbook pages. If you recently started digital scrapbooking you can feel completely overwhelmed when you load your program but do not worry with a little patience and practice you can learn to digital scrapbook.

1 - Learn how to crop and resize proportionally. The biggest mistake I've seen with beginners is to change the image size disproportionately. When crop and resize the photos you want your photos to get distorted. Photoshop Tip: Hold down the Shift key while you resize photos and maintain their proportional. Tip for Paint Shop Pro: Hold down the ALT key while dragging the corner and it will keep your picture proportionally.

2 – Learn how to use the layers palette. Learning how to work with layers is the most difficult to learn a digital scrapbook. Start with working on smaller projects with only a few layers. Practice moving each layer in the front or back to get the hang of things. If you are using Paint Shop Pro, you can click the layer to select it. For some people, Paint Shop Pro is a program easier to start with, because it is easier to select the layers and move them. If you are using Photoshop, you have to look at the layers palette to select the layer you want to move. Tip for work layers: Name your layers. Go to Layer Properties and type a name for the layer so that no confusion. For example, if you have a green ribbon, the layer of green tape name instead of layer 3. 4. Learn how to cut images or documents in forms. One thing that is very fun to do with pages of the scrapbook is to cut your photos or papers in the forms. You just copy and paste photos into the templates. They may come with pre-designed shapes, or curved borders that are easy to use. You need to understand how to work with layers, and the grouping and merging of layers, but the rapid kits have the hardest part for you.

6-The key to a good page is a good photo. Do not just take photos boring. Try to think creatively or poses a great shot of something interesting.
