I want to start scrapbooking, but where do I begin?
I've been interested in scrapbooking for a while. When I go to Michael overwhelmed me by the scrapbook section! I have no idea where to start. Can anyone help? I want to start a scrapbook for my child who is 1 year of age. (I assume as a starting point) Please help, thanks.
Here is a list of what you need to get started. I put my recommended brands in parentheses: 1. Paper Trimmer (Fiskars $ 20) 2. Titanium Scissors spring action (Fiskars $ 14). These are great for precise cutting and poking holes. 3. Scotch glue stick $ 3. There are tons of options tape, but it's okay to start a glue stick. 4. Idea Magazine ($ 5 Scrapbooks etc.) 5. Tool Kit (Making Memories $ 20 or $ 40) 6. To cut (cut Basic Magnetic Gray $ 24) Go shopping through its magazine and choose a design that inspires you. Make a list of types of items used on the page. For example, cards, pins, paper patterns, ribbons, buttons, punches, stamps. So buy what you need to recreate the page. Colors and designs can be yours. Leftovers will begin his hand deliveries and continue from there. Michaels and similar stores can be very overwhelming. Be careful not to only buy what you like! That makes it very expensive, very quickly. Always wear your Sunday paper coupon.
