Scrapbooking adhesives come in more choices than ever. As this hobby grows, manufacturers are responding to the needs of scrapbookers. Since the page layouts have moved from just photos, paper and some stamps with the most complex designs, such as 3-D elements, metals, fabric and tape albums cuts now need adhesives that can handle the latest scrapbooking trends and techniques.
The key to scrapbook adhesives is that they must be photo-SAFE. You need to be sure any product you are using on your scrapbook pages, especially in the back of your photos, not harm them over time. When it comes to adhesives, scrapbookers have a variety of options.
Photo Corners: These are the pioneer adhesives of scrapbooking, and still remain a popular choice for many scrapbookers. When she started scrapbooking, photo corners were used, as they allow you to attach photos to a page and even delete them. Because photo corners are not permanent adhesives are ideal for photographs of the estate and anything you do not want to permanently mount to a page. As you run the tape along a surface, leaving behind a continuous line of adhesive. Use only what you need for each element.
Tail Points: A must-have for heavy embellishments, glue points to allow a strong bond and are perfect for fabric and ribbons. They come in a variety of sizes, mounted on a sheet or roll.
Glue sticks: Still a favorite among scrapbooks, glue is less complicated that most of the glue. They allow you to cover a large area quickly. However, it still can be used on small objects. Before buying glue sticks, make sure it is photo-SAFE. You do not want the ones made for school projects.
Adhesive Spray: The advantages of adhesive spray coverage is still and transparency. They work well with vellum, unlike some adhesives will show through the paper. You must be very careful about overspray. Always made of paper to cover the work surface before using the spray adhesive.
Tape: Most scrapbookers prefer double-sided tape for Accession scrapbook page elements. However, an adhesive is useful in the back of lace or eyelet to keep the role of the catch in the teeth.
