After a year of pause scrapbook, which I found is I had a team full image digital camera and no idea how to pick up where I had left. I also have some OCD tendencies, so I knew it was not a small business for me. That's how I faced:
1. Out with the old
To motivate myself to organize my materials, would not commit to buy copies of recent events until all my old pictures had been Scrapbook. This was a great incentive to get my old photos scrapping since I was very excited about some of the Recent photos (trip to Disneyworld, vacation with family, etc..) However, before I could fully take on this task, I had to do a kind Quick …
2. FAST SORT
Plastic sandwich bags are a perfect container to organize photos that are transparent, inexpensive and easy to store in boxes of size shoe box or plastic totes. To start my fast class, I took all the photos I wanted, and eventually eliminate all separated into discrete "packets" (page clearly labeled "1st Birthday", "Disneyworld 2008", etc.) Do not worry by the number of pictures in each bag, but also try to be realistic. For example, 30 images can not fit on one page, so try to choose their favorites. If you want to discard a lot of pictures to one page, remember that not everyone has to show on the page – to include the whole group can make records of accordion or mini-discs for your design.
Make your rapid rate in a minimum amount of time. You will feel so out once they have control over the number of pages you want to make your image stacks.
3. Choose the color
Once you have your separate images, look at the picture of focus and determine a color scheme suitable. It is the red shirt of his son, the highlight color? Once you have classified your image stacks appropriate color schemes, you can mark with a Sharpie directly in the bag. This will prepare you for a bit faster. Again, try to do this FAST! There is no sense wasting energy on scrapping menial tasks.
4. FILE LEFTOVERS
Until recently, I printed and bought all the photos I take. But since I do not scrap every photo I take, nor do I waste each event, I'm trying to change my estimate and the actual images carefully I will use. However, even after conservative estimate, it takes photos in a scrapbook page, often leaving me with images that need to file remaining. Before turning to the "fun" things, make sure your image file now.
5. USE OF PAPER KIT
To scrap the most effective, you must be organized and I find it more easy to let someone else do the organization for you. I would pick the packages of paper that best match the color schemes that I wish more game of my designs. This also allows me to make the best use of coordinating embellishments (ribbons, lace, flowers, etc.).
6. Do not reinvent the wheel
Sure, scrapbooking is supposed to be fun, but if you have lots of photos to cope, which can easily finish stressful. So, if you have little time or creativity, go to magazines for inspiration … I like to cut images of pages or elements that I love and put them in a magazine to browse when I need creative direction.
7. RELEASE YOURSELF!
Finally, remember that scrapbooking is a hobby, not a guilt trip. Without seeing the real magnitude of his own nightmare of the organization, "is difficult to recommend an exact solution, but some aspects of this procedure should help. Most importantly, get through the Organization 101 to get to the fun part: create!
