I want to make a scrapbook for me and my friends (my best friend Mosly 1) from when we were small now. [For my 14th birthday I have a slumber party (in 2 weeks) with about 6 or 7 other girls. You could make a "This Is Your Life. "Kind of book. Create a design for each child, one for women and falling in love, one for all the different places where he lived, one for photos baby, a favorite pet, one for his career, attending church, and even one of the cars we had – anything that mattered. When you choose your photos, sit with him or a sibling or parent and write the memories that each image comes to mind. I use as a diary. When finished, it will be really clean as a family heirloom. It can even be fun to revisit the places that was when I was young and have "now" images to be placed next to the 'then' Images years ago. You can also put a picture of a family / person who is close on one page and send the page to that person who can write the best wishes and fondest memories in it. Simply provide a designated place to write on the page, so not intimidated. One thing you can do to make it go faster, is the use of a theme. By that I mean to choose a work of substance and several solid points for the title picture and matting. However, many pages of your scrapbook is, that's how many sheets of background paper you need (probably 50 would be good). That takes the guess work out of their scheme color. You just use the same material on each page, lends the book cohesion. I suggest using a palette of neutral colors, so that will happen to all different colors in the images easily.

Mud, mud wonderful

This time of year, most people with a scrapbook full of snow for Christmas. Well here in southern Africa, we have no snow at all, so just use the mud as a scrapbook idea and solution.

Why children clay you ask, is brown and sticky and really quite ugly, but somehow they seem to love. Very few can resist jumping in a puddle, or crushing hands around it. So you see there are so many opportunities to take photos of the rain and mud as there are for snow. It is a joy to capture a child who just fun to get all dirty and muddy.

Al scrapbook of your photo, try to find cardboard with a murky, brown or decayed and distressed look and feel to it. You're bound to find one or more to suit the mood of your photo.

When matting your photo, you can try giving the design a feeling of mud in the following ways:
Try dipping a crumpled kitchen towel roll in an attempt small ink brown or walnut. Squeeze the excess ink and carefully developed and let dry flat. The ink is spread through the towel randomly drop formation ink, as if the mud has been splashed on him.

You can also paint or use the heliographic technique to create their own mats for the photo in mottled coffee.

Crumpled paper (the kind used to cover books) can also be used behind the photo to accent and lift a little.

My husband and I have been trying to have children for five years. We put together a nice scrapbook of our thoughts on the future of our children, our dreams of parenthood, and also our difficult experiences with infertility. Does anyone have any idea on what could be put in the scrapbook? I'm having trouble coming up with ideas because this is not a case where we have an image to use, obviously (unless you cut out pictures from magazines or use baby vintage images, etc), but do not want tobe just writing because it's boring.
