I always keep my greeting cards. I've been doing for many years. Does anyone know where can I find scrapbook supplies free, not things I have to print or use the supplies digital notepad, but real, paper glue, etc. Please send the links to anywebsites its muchlly appreciated. I am new to scrapbooking and find the cost overwhelming, but now I'm stuck: (

I recommend subscribing to their nearest Freecycle or Craigslist. I've seen people giving away scrapbooking supplies there. By I myself have made some good discoveries (stamps, scissors, stickers, etc.) at garage sales. These are usually 1 / 10 the price of the same item in a store.

If scrap booking is your passion, you are constantly seeking new ways to make their books more personal, more faithful to the memory you want capture. A pressed flowers make great additions to scrapbook.

There are many moments in life wherever those flowers that last forever. Think back to your first bouquet of a new suitor or white roses for their wedding day. Pressed flowers can also commemorate sad events as the favorite flowers for a loved one who died, or even the leaves and flowers of nature trip unforgettable. Having the real flower and place it in your scrapbook that marks the occasion of a more meaningful way.

So how do you start? First, you have to pick the flowers. Remember that the finest flower, dries faster and better retention in of color. Also, select flowers that look good when laid flat. Try experimenting with different types of flowers to make them see the best cuts.

Now, the challenge of preserving and pressing the flower. If you have a flower press, the process is fairly simple. All you have to do is put the flower between two pieces of botanical paper and then put in a gasket between the spacer. You decide how much time you want to press flowers and increase the pressure as the days go by. By Generally, most of the flowers and shrubs need at least two weeks to dry sufficiently.

If you do not have a flower press, do it the old fashioned way. All you need to start two paper towels. Searching that special and personal greeting card that can not seem to find at the store? Well, get out your scrapbooking stuff and make your own card. If you can scraps, then you can make your own cards too. Not every scrapbooker do that? Sure. You can save big money. Use your scraps and trimmings that can not seem to find a place in its provisions. It's so easy and fun.
